Common questions
My reminder didn't arrive
- Check the switch on the checklist's row on the home screen. If it is off, that checklist's reminders are silenced.
- For a scheduled reminder, make sure at least one day is selected, and that notifications are allowed in iOS Settings.
- For a location reminder, location must be set to Always. While Using is not enough — the reminder has to reach you when the app is closed.
Tapping a reminder doesn't open the checklist
Update to the latest version. A fix for this shipped in a recent release.
My checklist reset itself
That is intended. Finishing a checklist resets it for next time, and an unfinished one resets on its own after 12 hours so yesterday's half-done list doesn't follow you into today.
Can I use my checklists on another device?
Not directly — Task Loop has no account and stores everything on your device. Restoring a device backup to a new iPhone will bring your checklists with it.
How do I delete everything?
Profile → Delete all my data. This is permanent; nothing is stored anywhere else, so it cannot be recovered.
Why does the app want "Always" location?
So a location reminder can fire when the app is closed, which is the only moment it is useful. Your location is matched against your pinned places on the device and is never sent anywhere. See the privacy policy.
