Privacy Policy

Task Loop does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising. Your checklists are stored on your device and are not sent to us, because there is no server to send them to.
What we collect
Nothing. We operate no servers, no accounts and no analytics. We receive no information about you or your use of the app, and we cannot see your checklists.
What the app stores on your device
- Your checklists, the items in them, and the record of each time you run one.
- The name you enter during setup, and your appearance preference.
- Any reminder you configure, including the days, the time, and the coordinates and radius of a place you pin.
All of this is held in the app's own storage on your device. It is included in your device backup, so restoring a backup to a new device brings it with you. Your backup is governed by Apple's terms, not ours.
Location
If you set a location reminder, the app asks for the "Always" location permission. Your location is compared against the places you have pinned on the device itself, by the operating system, so that a reminder can be delivered when you arrive or leave. Your location is never sent to us and is never stored anywhere outside your device.
You can withdraw this permission at any time in iOS Settings. Location reminders will stop working; everything else in the app continues to work.
Services the app uses
Task Loop has no server of its own. Two features need map data, and which provider supplies it depends on the platform.
On iPhone and iPad
Both features use Apple's Maps framework, built into iOS:
- Searching for a place by name. The text you type is sent to Apple to return matching places.
- The map preview shown beside a pinned place, which loads map imagery from Apple.
These requests go to Apple and are covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
On Android
The same two features use Mapbox instead:
- Searching for a place by name. The text you type is sent to Mapbox to return matching places.
- The map preview shown beside a pinned place. Generating that image sends the coordinates of the place you pinned to Mapbox. If you pinned your current location, those are the coordinates of that location.
These requests go to Mapbox and are covered by Mapbox's Privacy Policy. Android also uses Google Play services to watch for the places you have pinned; that matching happens on the device, and Google's handling of location on Android is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
In both cases the developer receives nothing from these requests. If you never use place search and never pin a location, the app contacts no one at all.
What we do not do
- We do not track you, and the app contains no tracking or advertising software.
- We do not sell, share or transfer your information, because we never receive it.
- The app contains no analytics, crash reporting or advertising software on either platform. The only third parties involved are the map providers named above, and only for the two features described there.
Deleting your data
Open Profile and choose Delete all my data. This erases every checklist, all history and your name from the device permanently. Deleting the app removes its storage as well. Because nothing is held anywhere else, no request to us is needed — and none is possible.
Children
Task Loop is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new date above.
